Internal Wall Insulation
What is it?
Internal wall insulation involves fitting material to the internal walls of a dwelling, to prevent heat loss. This material is then covered in a vapour barrier to protect it from air penetration.
Any plug sockets on the walls will be extended so that they can still be used, though the walls will need to be re-decorated after the works have been carried out.

What properties can this be carried out on?
This kind of insulation can be carried out on any property and wall type, though it is recommended for solid walls as cavity walls can have cavity wall insulation.
Will it make rooms smaller?
In short, yes it does, but it is only by 100-130mm. When you consider the cost saving it achieves by preventing heat loss, and the increase in your home value due to the better energy performance of the property, most would consider it worth it. Also, your property will look exactly the same from the exterior which is the main noticeable difference from external wall insulation
What is the cost of this work?
The cost of installing internal wall insulation depends on the number of rooms to be insulated and the size of the walls. We don’t generally insulate kitchens and bathrooms due to the costs incurred by homeowners, as we require the walls to be completely clear for the works to go ahead. A 25-year guarantee is included with any internal wall insulation carried out by our installers. We work with various funding streams to partially or completely cover costs should you be eligible!
